Michelle Obama breaks hearts with final Vogue cover as first lady

To call Michelle Obama's first lady farewell tour a roller coaster of emotions would be an understatement. There were the love letters in T Magazine, the relentless, passionate campaigning for Hillary Clinton and the rose gold chainmail Versace gown seen round the world, to name a few.
Now, during a week when we could all use
a bit of a pick-me-up, FLOTUS is back to kick
us right in the feels all over again. Looking ethereal in a white Carolina Herrera gown, she is, as usual, the epitome of elegance and grace.

Aptly calling her America's "Mother-in-Chief," the story followed Obama in the months leading up to Election Day.

Of course now, the story, cover and Obama's words, which went to print before the election, hold a completely new meaning post-election.

Consider the way she describes her role as first lady ― a position that Vogue calls "surprisingly malleable, shaped by the personality, style and interests (or lack thereof) of the person occupying it.”

“I could have spent eight years doing anything, and at some level, it would have
been fine,” Obama said.

“I could have focused on flowers. I could have focused on decor. I could have focused on entertainment.
Because any first lady, rightfully, gets to define her role. There's no legislative authority; you're not elected. And that's a wonderful gift of freedom.”

It is what she did do ― advocate for education, promote healthy lifestyles and
become a darling of the fashion industry ―
that in part will make saying goodbye so
hard to do. We don't know for sure what
kind of first lady her successor will be. All we know is what Michelle has meant to so
many people over the past eight years, perfectly summed up to Vogue by President
Obama himself. “Who you see is who she is,” the president said.

“The brilliant, funny, generous woman who, for whatever reason, agreed to marry me. I think people gravitate to her because they see themselves in her—a dedicated mom, a good friend, and someone who's not afraid to poke a little fun at herself from time to time.”

We know it's better to smile because it
happened than cry because it's over, but
we're going to need a few days to recover
from this one.

We Can't Go After MMM Promoters, EFCC Tells National Assembly

There are signs that EFCC will most likely be unable to follow MMM promoters as they consider them to be individuals approaching their very own and private business which is not illicit.
As indicated by report from a source in EFCC, MMM is not an unlawful business therefore we can't pursue the promoters of MMM.

Our questions to the National Assembly is “What are we going to charge the promoters of MMM for? What law have they violated? What money has the system stolen”?.

All these and many more are questions that we need to consider before taking any actions. MMM does not have any office in the country where we can go and ask for details about their activities.
So our hands are tight. The source also went further to state that people who participate in MMM are doing so at their own risk. As such they would have themselves to blame for any negative outcome.

It is not for us to tell them what to do with their money. Just as we do not stop people from investing on any legal business venture, we can not stop people from participating in MMM.

Nnamdi Kanu writes Trump from prison, urges him to 'liberate' Biafra

Imprisoned leader of Indigenous People of
Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has written the
United States of America's President-elect,
Mr.Donald Trump, over his victory, urging him to assist in 'liberating enslaved nations
in Africa,' Biafra included.

Mr. Kanu, in a letter he personally signed,
entitled Nnamdi Kanu writes from Prison to congratulate Trump, made available to Vanguard through IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Emma Powerful, said:

"Trump's victory was well deserved and shows that hard work and determination against all odds pay. “

Dear Mr. President-elect, it is with great joy that I, Nnamdi Kanu, received the news of your victory as the 45th President of the United States of America. On behalf of the Indigenous People of Biafra, accept my warmest congratulations.Mr. President-elect, the American people have given you their mandate and trust, not only to make America great again, but also to bring positive changes in the affairs of humanity. “Your victory has placed a historic and moral burden upon you to liberate enslaved nations in Africa, trapped in artificially-created boundaries designed to reinforce colonial domination and subjugation.Self-determination is a sacred right of all people as demonstrated by the good people of United Kingdom, when they opted out of the European Union. It is imperative to draw historical parallels between your victory and
that of the great Dwight Eisenhower, a
fellow Republican, who was instrumental in the dismantling of European colonialism in Africa."

Body language expert reveals the truth behind Trump and Obama white house meeting

President Barack Obama and Donald Trump
put on a united front and vowed to work
together in what appeared to be a friendly meeting at the White House Thursday. Trump said he was 'looking forward to
dealing with the president in the future',
while Obama claimed he was 'very
encouraged by the interest in President-elect Trump to work with my team'.

But even to the untrained eye it was clear
there was some tension, and body language expert Patti Wood has analyzed the first meeting between the most powerful man in
America and the person chosen to replace

Obama was 'extremely fatigued, resigned
and not hopeful', while Trump was 'tentative, serious and perhaps fearful',Wood told DailyMail.com.

Obama and Trump, whose election win sent
shockwaves around the world on Wednesday, talked for more than 90
minutes in the Oval Office before addressing
the media. It was a public display intended to help the country digest the results of Tuesday's presidential election after violent protests broke out across the country Wednesday night.

The president-elect called Obama a 'very
good man'. 'If you look at the seating position - their lower legs,' Wood explains, 'they are both in the male, alpha position saying "I am a man".' However, she adds that Obama's legs are much further apart, which demonstrates strength and reveals he is subconsciously saying, 'I'm still on top'.
But it was Trump's hands that caught Wood's attention - he put them in a 'downward
prayer position'.
'The thing that is very significant is Trump's
hand position,' Wood told DailyMail.com,
describing it as the 'downward prayer position', which is not typical for the President-elect. 'Trump holds his own hands as he begins speaking which is an indication he needs to comfort himself,' she added.

Wood pointed out that as Obama gestures,
he rests his arms on his legs. 'That's not
typical Obama which tells me he is weary.'

The sitting president stressed during the
meeting that his top priority was top 'ensure our president-elect is successful.'

I have been very encouraged by the
interest in President-elect Trump to work
with my team around many of the issues that this great country faces and I believe
that it is important for all regardless of
party and regardless of political preferences
to now come together, work together to
deal with the many challenges we face,' he

But Wood isn't convinced. 'There is a part
where he says he has been encouraged,' she said. 'As he says it he closes his eyes. I call
that an eye block. That tells me he doesn't
feel totally encouraged.'
